uninstall avast secure browser

How To Uninstall Avast Secure Browser

If you want to uninstall or remove Avast browser in Windows, you have to go Apps under windows setting and delete it. Or you can also delete this browser from the uninstall tool(official) or removal tool like Ccleaner.

No question, Avast secure browser (previously called- SafeZone) is one of the famous and secure browser available on the internet with their very good features like- Bank Mode, Anti-Tracking, Adblock(my favorite), Hack check, Webcam Guard, Anti- Phishing, Anti-Fingerprinting, Password Manager and more.

With so many features, the browser contains so many problems, such as consuming so much RAM and CPU process, opening automatically on startup, crashes or won’t open. So, for this reason, if you are heading to uninstall Avast secure browser, then follow these steps.

avast browser takes too much RAM

I’m going to delete this browser from 3 methods. If one of the below methods is not working, you can follow another method. You can also uninstall this browser in all versions of Windows like 7,8 and 10 with the same methods.

Method 1: Delete Avast Browser from Start Menu

  1. Go to Start > Setting > Apps > Avast Browser Or Press Windows Key + I and click on Apps
open setting and click on apps to delete avast browser
  2. Select  Avast Secure Browser and Click on Uninstall.
    click on uninstall
  3. Pop up will occur, Click on Uninstall, make sure if you want to keep browsing data untick it.
    last click on uninstall
  4. Wait! Your browser will be removed from Windows.

Note: You can also delete from Programs and Features. Just search Programs and Features, select browser, and click on Uninstall. Both are the same way to delete.

Method 2: Delete Avast Browser From Removal Tool

Sometimes, if you are not able to uninstall from the App setting, then this software can help you to delete. I am going to delete from two software: Avast official software called Avast Secure Browser Uninstall Tool, and another is Ccleaner.

Delete From Avast Secure Browser Uninstall Tool

  1. Download Avast Uninstall Software and save it into the folder.
  2. Go to the folder and right-click to open as Run as Administrator.
right click mouse and open as administrator to delete avast secure browser
  3. Click Uninstall(tick if you want to remove browser data).
    click on uninstall
  4. Wait until delete is complete, After Uninstall complete click on Ok Sure if you want to tell them the reason to delete. If not, close the pop-up menu.

Delete Browser From Ccleaner

CCleaner is the best option to delete any software which is installed on any computer. All types of Windows versions support this. So, if you’re from Windows 8 or even 7, you can follow this method. CCleaner can check your device Health, Clean cache files, browser history, Uninstall hidden/not hidden software, Enable Disable software from Startup, Filter duplicate files from a computer for free. You can get more features with premium plans.

Note: If the above method is not working on your computer, then I guarantee you CCleaner can remove your Avast browser. This software can uninstall all hidden installed software in any OS, whether it is Windows or Linux.

  1. Download CCleaner from their website.
  2. Install and click on Run CCleaner.
  3. Open CCleaner and go to Tools.
  4. Select Browser and Click on Uninstall(Right side)

After Uninstalling Avast, Now which Browser?

Well, I’m not capable of suggesting you use this or that browser. It all depends on you. What kind of browser do you want? For example, I use two browsers: Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

I use Google Chrome while working or for office purposes and Mozilla Firefox for streaming live service or browsing Youtube because they have the best extension to remove pop-up ads or any other ads. Ohh, I also use Hoxx VPN in Mozilla Firefox, which is free. But, I notice that when I use website blockers like Cold Turkey Blocker, Mozilla consumes lots of memory(RAM) and CPU power. Which I really don’t like.

Meanwhile, i don’t have any issues related to Google Chrome. In fact, I am now using ads blocker extension to block youtube ads(not pop up ads). With the latest version of this browser, it consumes less RAM and processing power.

In my point of view, we should always install two browsers Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox or maybe others. So, if one browser doesn’t have a feature, you can get from another.
